For our team at the Ursenbach site in the Swiss Midlands, we are looking to fill the position immediately or by arrangement:Department Head Glass Processing 80-100% (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Responsible for efficient and high-quality production in all aspects of the area of responsibility.
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of around 30 employees in the areas of cutting, flat glass processing, bending, and chemical tempering.
- Responsible for capacity, scheduling, and deployment planning of production orders.
- Systematically optimize processes according to Lean principles and methods.
- Update, comply with, and train on processes, Q-standards (ISO, IRIS, and environmental guidelines), as well as legal safety requirements.
- Ensure systematic knowledge transfer and retention within the areas of responsibility.
- Lead shop floor management and record and optimize performance indicators (OEE, FPY, scrap rate).
Your profile:
- You have a technical vocational qualification (e.g., polymechanic, glazier) and further training in mechanical engineering and business administration HF/FH.
- You have at least 8 years of leadership experience in a production company, ideally in glass processing with industrial equipment and machines.
- You present yourself confidently as a leader, convince with your communication skills, and possess assertiveness as well as social competence. You keep an overview even in hectic times.
- You have practical experience in process design and optimization according to Lean principles.
- You use your good MS Office skills efficiently.
- You have excellent command of German, both spoken and written; English is an advantage.
- You are flexible, conscientious, and used to working independently and purposefully. You bring a healthy level of resilience and initiative.
