For many years, the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents has continuously developed cutting-edge services and centers of expertise in several medical specialties.
The gynecology service at HUG is one of the largest in Switzerland.
The service includes many specialties, notably in oncology, perineology, and reproductive medicine . The service also provides specialized consultations concerning the ovary and female genital mutilation . It cares for women who are victims of assault and violence , or who request a gynecological check-up , contraception, or a pregnancy termination .
Our breast center and our endometriosis center are accredited, guaranteeing multidisciplinary, comprehensive, and quality care.
The medical and nursing teams follow women, girls, and adolescents throughout their reproductive lives, during and after menopause , with maximum comfort and safety, respecting each individual's privacy and values.
To ensure the best women's health care, it relies on efficient emergency services , state-of-the-art equipment, interdisciplinary care , and direct access for hospitalizations.
Job Description
As a senior physician, you lead the Gynecological Surgical Unit and, as such, ensure the quality of medical services in the care units within your area of expertise.
You collaborate with the medical and nursing staff in patient care and coordinate practical activities, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the patients entrusted to you.
Working in a stimulating university environment within a multidisciplinary team, you are recognized for your leadership and leverage your excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients.
Demonstrating a confirmed interest in teaching, you participate in pre/postgraduate and continuing education in gynecology, as well as in supervising students, trainees, and interns, and participate in research projects related to the specialization.
Showing dynamism, flexibility, and commitment, you develop interdisciplinary clinical projects and implement and ensure research within the unit.
You participate in the on-call system of the gynecology service.
Qualifications
You hold a Swiss medical diploma and Swiss specialty titles in gynecology and obstetrics, surgical gynecology, and gynecological oncology, or have equivalent training recognized by MEBEKO, and hold a medical thesis.
You have the right to practice in the canton of Geneva or are able to obtain it before starting your position and have a minimum French level of C1.
You have at least 3 years of experience in gynecology and obstetrics, particularly in operative gynecology.
You have experience in pre- and postgraduate teaching and clinical research.

You can work day shifts as well as night and weekend shifts.
