The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Canton of Zurich, the office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional office for school social work. On behalf of the schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional, and administrative management of school social workers.

For the management/specialist support of school social work in the municipalities of the Horgen district and to strengthen the team of the regional SSA office, we are looking for another leadership personality from January 1, 2026, or by arrangement. The workplace is located in Horgen.

For the management/specialist support of school social work in the municipalities of the Horgen district and to strengthen the team of the regional SSA office, we are looking for another leadership personality from January 1, 2026, or by arrangement. The workplace is located in Horgen.

You will lead the school social workers and school social pedagogues personnel-wise and/or professionally and lead cross-municipal specialist groups for networking among themselves and with school-related services. You work with school administrations, child and youth welfare centers (kjz), and other specialist offices. You are responsible for implementing the tasks defined in the service agreements. You actively contribute to the development of school social work as well as school social pedagogy and youth welfare in the region and participate in the steering committees of the respective municipalities.

We are addressing a committed personality with a university of applied sciences degree in social work. You have completed training in counseling and leadership and have corresponding practical experience. We expect solid professional experience in school social work as well as high competencies in prevention, crisis intervention, and child protection. Very good self-management and good communication skills are among your strengths. Do you also have competencies for interdisciplinary collaboration and negotiation skills in cooperation with municipal authorities and school administrations?
