Academic collaborator for upper secondary schools section

The Office of Upper Secondary Education implements the education policy mandates of the Government and the Department of Education, Culture and Environmental Protection in the field of upper secondary schools as well as tertiary education and research to promote an attractive educational and research location in Graubünden.
The upper secondary schools section is responsible for the implementation of the relevant legal provisions for upper secondary schools. In the canton of Graubünden, the approximately 2300 upper secondary school students are distributed between the Cantonal School of Graubünden based in Chur and the eight private upper secondary schools in the regions.
Following a retirement, within the upper secondary schools section of the Office of Upper Secondary Education, we are looking for an academic collaborator for the upper secondary schools section from June 1, 2026 or by agreement.
- Scientific collaboration and support to the section management in carrying out projects, revising laws and ordinances, as well as implementing cantonal and federal reforms related to the upper secondary school sector
- General responsibility for the cantonal admission exams to Graubünden upper secondary schools, including leading the admission exam commission
- Communication and public relations activities in the upper secondary school sector
- Collaboration in supporting the quality management system of upper secondary schools and monitoring the annual report of upper secondary schools in relation to cantonal service mandates
- Participation in coordination and supervision regarding final exams at upper secondary schools
- Collaboration in managing student administration and processing requests related to individual cases (e.g., admissions, school and section changes)
- University degree at master’s level
- Several years of professional experience in the education sector; experience in school administration is an advantage
- Strong oral communication skills, persuasiveness, and enjoyment of public relations work
- High stress resistance and assertiveness
- Independent and structured working method as well as affinity with digital developments
- Proficiency in drafting texts in German; good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
- High social skills and ability to work in a team
