What you will do here
- Teach methods, technologies, and applications in the field of Data Engineering and AI in our bachelor's degree programs, especially in the BSc Data Engineering (bfh.ch/data-engineering), with a focus on practice
- Supervise students in project work and theses at the bachelor and master levels
- Contribute specialized topics to continuing education offerings
- Acquire and supervise applied research projects in your own subject area
- Bring experience and creativity to our technology-enthusiastic faculty and the large network of Bern University of Applied Sciences
- Shape the future with us and our students – through the development and active use of tomorrow's information technologies!
What you ideally bring with you
- University degree (at least a master's or equivalent qualification; doctorate desired) in data science, computer science, business informatics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant practical experience in data engineering, development and operation of data and application platforms, data architecture, machine learning, or AI
- Enjoyment and skill in conveying demanding teaching content
- Proven experience in project management and enjoyment of teamwork
- Interest in applied research, good communication skills, and experience in project acquisition
- Very good English or German skills (at least C1) – both are teaching languages. French language skills are an advantage.
