What you will do here

Teach methods, technologies, and applications in the field of Data Engineering and AI in our bachelor's degree programs, especially in the BSc Data Engineering (bfh.ch/data-engineering), with a focus on practice
Supervise students in project work and theses at the bachelor and master levels
Contribute specialized topics to continuing education offerings
Acquire and supervise applied research projects in your own subject area
Bring experience and creativity to our technology-enthusiastic faculty and the large network of Bern University of Applied Sciences
Shape the future with us and our students – through the development and active use of tomorrow's information technologies!

What you ideally bring with you

University degree (at least a master's or equivalent qualification; doctorate desired) in data science, computer science, business informatics, or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant practical experience in data engineering, development and operation of data and application platforms, data architecture, machine learning, or AI
Enjoyment and skill in conveying demanding teaching content
Proven experience in project management and enjoyment of teamwork
Interest in applied research, good communication skills, and experience in project acquisition
Very good English or German skills (at least C1) – both are teaching languages. French language skills are an advantage.
