Canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and adolescents with physical and/or cognitive
impairments, with speech, hearing, or other profound developmental disabilities are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at four locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy services, we run a school-complementary area with lunch service, day structure, and boarding school. Over 580 employees are committed in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
As of February 1, 2026, we are looking for a specialist teacher TTG (crafts area)
for the Granatenbaumgut school area
with a workload of 14 lessons (Monday and Thursday), additional substitute lessons are occasionally possible.
You will teach upper-level classes, each half-class with 3 students who, due to cognitive and/or physical impairments, rely on a relationship-based, individually tailored school and support program.
You will be supported by educational and therapeutic specialists as well as assistant staff.
Interdisciplinary support planning according to ICF is an important part of our school. Constructive teamwork and good cooperation with parents are important to us.
We are looking for a committed, open person who enjoys taking responsibility and working in a team - preferably with an EDK-recognized teaching qualification for primary level with a suitable subject profile.
Our employment conditions are based on the cantonal personnel law.
