Caregiver for Individual Setting - Approx. 60-70% Workload

About the job

The work commitment is spread over 4-5 working days during school weeks, according to the requirements of the school operation. There are occasional work assignments during school holidays.

Area of responsibility:

The caregiver accompanies and supports a pupil from Cycle 1 in an individual 1:1 setting with occasional integration into the class.

In consultation with the teacher, they take on special tasks:

• Supporting and accompanying the pupil from the autism spectrum
• Collaboration with the class team of the integration class and the therapists
• Interdisciplinary exchange with all professionals involved in the support
• Advising parents and interdisciplinary exchange with all professionals involved in the support
• Enjoyment of innovation, participation, and involvement in school development

Requirements:

• Degree in social or curative education
• Enjoyment in working with pupils with cognitive impairments, behavioural challenges, and from the autism spectrum
• Experience in working with children in the ASD area
• Resilience and confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour and crisis situations
• Team spirit, resilience, humour, and willingness to experiment
• Enjoyment of a diverse and multicultural school
