Welcome to 1 North, a unique ward in Switzerland that is growing! Our team of around 45 dedicated employees and trainees cares for the MIBS (Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit) as well as the Delirium Unit. We specialize in the treatment of patients with acute delirium, complex somatic diseases, and concurrent cognitive impairments. With us, you can expect exciting, interprofessional collaboration, a work environment with great development potential, and care oriented to the principles of Lean Management.
Your tasks
Preparing medications for patients on the wards (approximately 80 medications per day)
Identifying and reporting potential risks
Ensuring inventory maintenance, expiration date control, and controlled substance stock checks
Placing medication orders considering the existing inventory
Coordinating cross-ward inventory exchanges of rarely used and very expensive preparations
Supporting the transition to house list preparations: reducing special orders through independent substitution proposals and direct consultation with the medical service
Processing returns, batch recalls, and notifications from the hospital pharmacy concerning the warehouse inventory
Advising nursing staff on pharmaceutical questions
Ensuring regular exchange with the safe medication working group to optimize internal processes
Adhering to guidelines and standards (e.g., 5 R rule)
Ensuring continuous quality and process improvement by participating in quality controls and audits

Your profile
Completed training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) as a pharmaceutical assistant or pharmacy studies
Relevant professional experience is an advantage
