To strengthen our Mono Plants operations area at Arxada, Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Shift Leader.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Personnel responsibility for the assigned shift team as well as active support of the operations management team in team development
- Responsibility for structured onboarding as well as the professional and personal development of employees
- Ensuring smooth shift operations including organization and coordination of all arising work orders as well as ensuring proper shift handover
- Leadership and deployment planning of the team considering orders, priorities, break and absence management
- Ensuring contact and coordination with external parties in case of incidents (e.g., porter, on-call service, fire department)
- Ensuring proper implementation of all work in the assigned work area in compliance with applicable regulations in the areas of safety, environmental protection, and quality
Qualifications and experience:
- High commitment to strengthening and actively promoting the safety culture
- At least 5–10 years of experience as a deputy shift leader or plant specialist in chemical production or service companies as well as solid knowledge in handling process control systems
- Ideally completed CPT or CPP training (formerly certified operator) or willingness to complete it
- Motivation and willingness to work shifts (including night and weekend work)
- Openness to new technologies as well as continuous professional and personal development
- Committed, flexible, and independent working style with high reliability
- Strong social skills and ability to work in a team
