Desk Secretary at the Palliative and Support Care Service
Attached to the Department of Medicine, the Palliative and Support Care Service, located at Beaumont Hospital, is looking for a reception secretary for the Unit bed starting January 1, 2026, or a date to be agreed upon. As part of your role, you will be required to work every day from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Department of Medicine, the Palliative and Support Care Service is responsible for all medical treatments, physical care, psychological, social, and spiritual support intended for patients suffering from a progressive incurable condition.

Mission
- You welcome patients, their relatives, colleagues, and visitors in accordance with CHUV's guiding principles
- You ensure medical secretarial duties for hospitalized patients (discharge letters, patient file archiving, etc.)
- You manage the unit's secretariat (ordering supplies, repair orders, etc.)
- You ensure communication between the various service stakeholders as well as with other CHUV services.
Profile
Primarily responsible for welcoming patients, their relatives, and colleagues and managing the entire unit secretariat. The reception secretary must be personable and rigorous.
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification
- You have perfect command of spoken and written French and excellent interpersonal skills
- You are autonomous, rigorous, precise, reliable, and discreet
- You have several years of experience in a reception and medical secretarial role, ideally in a hospital environment.
- You will be particularly in charge of reception
