What if you helped us design a more inclusive society?
Located in the Vevey region, between city and
countryside, the City of Juniper welcomes adults in a situation of
disability due to an intellectual deficiency. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers the people welcomed a living and
working environment that is particularly harmonious as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the City of Juniper holds the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It considers the happiness of the welcomed individuals as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The "Mont-Blanc" group is a living space welcoming adults with mild to moderate mental disabilities, with associated disorders such as behavioral issues. The mission is to welcome these individuals and support them daily to help them maintain a physical balance, but especially a psychological one. In co-construction with the beneficiary, the educational team develops and uses the necessary tools to manage their anxieties and avoid behavioral issues. Several areas of work are employed, such as communication, building trust, structuring time and space, regulating stimuli, educating on life rules and values.
The creation of partnerships with various internal and external entities, the construction of camps and daytime activities, as well as the development of life projects (outings, trips, etc.), are fundamental support areas in the philosophy of the Mont-Blanc group.
