Job Description

We are looking for a qualified nurse with a 60% workload for anesthesia/recovery room to strengthen our health team in Rothrist, Switzerland. In this important role, you are responsible for high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

• Prepare patients for anesthesia and inform them about the process
• Immediate postoperative care in the recovery room
• Assess patients' pain levels and apply appropriate pain management techniques
• Respond quickly and effectively to all postoperative complications or emergencies
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Assist anesthetists in performing various nerve blocks
• Adhere to all hospital guidelines, procedures, and safety protocols
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay up to date with best practices in anesthesia and recovery room care

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma from an accredited institution
• Valid nursing license recognized in Switzerland
• Proven experience in recovery room care
• Good knowledge of anesthesia procedures, protocols, and postoperative care
• Proficiency with medical devices used in recovery rooms
• Excellent skills in patient assessment and monitoring
• Strong understanding of pain management techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in German; additional languages are a plus
• Commitment to continuous education and professional development
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Flexibility to work various shifts
