🎯 Description

The Qim info Expertise Center is looking for a Senior System & Backup Engineer with expertise in IBM TSM / Spectrum Protect as well as solid experience in Linux environments.

You have 8 to 10 years of experience in system administration, managing large-scale backup platforms, and resolving complex incidents. Your role will be to ensure high-level RUN support, oversee monitoring, assist internal teams, and participate in various technical projects around Linux and automation.

You will act as a reference expert on IBM TSM, handle critical incident analyses, PRA/DRP testing, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the backup infrastructure.

📄 Your tasks

• Provide daily (RUN) support on IBM TSM: diagnosis, incident resolution, alert monitoring, and proactive management of backup environments.

• Administer and optimize IBM TSM / Spectrum Protect platforms: tuning, capacity planning, upgrades, documentation.

• Monitor key indicators, analyze malfunctions, and propose continuous improvements.

• Participate in DRP / PRA tests, including preparation, execution, and post-exercise analysis.

• Support teams in the use, understanding, and best practices related to backups.

• Contribute to various Linux (RHEL) technical projects: automation, industrialization, enhancing operability.

• Write procedures, best practices, and technical reports.

• Provide operational and technical advice: reliability, performance, security, automation.

💼 Required technical skills and soft skills

✅ Technical:

• Advanced and proven expertise in IBM TSM / Spectrum Protect (mandatory).

• Excellent knowledge of Linux RHEL environments.

• Skills in automation and orchestration (Ansible).

• Mastery of backup, restoration, volume management, libraries, tapes, retention strategies concepts.

• Good understanding of complex system and infrastructure environments.

• Experience in managing critical incidents, continuous improvement, technical documentation.
