Main Responsibilities
- Diverse supervisory activities: You analyze the financial and risk information as well as governance structures of supervised insurance companies and insurance brokers, identify risks early, and develop well-founded assessments.
- Clarifications, investigations: In close collaboration with experts, you independently conduct clarifications or carry out investigations related to tips and complaints.
- Conducting on-site inspections: You accompany and conduct inspections on-site to gain a comprehensive picture of the companies and insurance brokers for the effective enforcement of regulatory requirements.
- Intensive supervision: In cases with special supervisory needs, you coordinate and manage measures to minimize risks for insured persons and the financial market. You assess business strategies and initiate targeted interventions based on your assessment.
Profile
- University degree in economics or comparable training in the financial sector and/or auditing
- At least 5 years of professional experience with a primary insurer with insight into risk management and/or insurance technology, with an auditing company, or in the investment sector with a direct interface to the insurance industry
- Solid knowledge in financial and risk analysis (especially regarding technical insurance provisions and/or in the investment sector)
- Critical, risk-oriented, and analytical thinking ability; ability to grasp complex issues, form an overall judgment, and independently lead projects
- Communicative and team-oriented personality, high resilience, good assertiveness, and persuasive in appearance
- German or French language skills (C2) and very good knowledge (B2) of the other language as well as English (B2)
