Research Associate in the Project «SpielPolitik!» (20-40%)

SpielPolitik! is a popular political education offer for school classes at the Federal Palace in Bern and in classrooms throughout Switzerland ( https://www.schulen-nach-bern.ch/de /). We are looking to strengthen our team for the preparation and follow-up as well as the management of the multilingual game sessions (DE/IT and DE/F) with school classes and their teachers on site in Bern.
- You plan, promote, and organize the game sessions of SpielPolitik!
- You introduce teachers from the German-, Italian-, and French-speaking parts of Switzerland to the game process and support them in the preparation and follow-up of the simulation game with their classes
- You lead the game sessions on site in Bern and at the Federal Palace (5 x 2 days spread over a calendar year) in cooperation and division of labor with the current project manager. You speak at least two national languages fluently (D/I and D/F)
- You maintain cooperation with the game sponsor, the association Schulen nach Bern. You provide information about the game sessions and maintain contacts with supporters and sponsors
- You maintain contacts with parliamentarians who take on the role of the Federal Council and collaborate on organizational matters with the parliamentary services
- You engage in public communication and manage the homepage as well as social media in consultation and cooperation with the project manager
- University degree in social andsocial sciences (preferably inpolitical science or educational science) and/or a teaching diploma for primary school, preferably lower secondary level
- Educational experience working with young people, e.g., in school or extracurricular political education or youth work
- Presentation skills and ability to work independently
- Interest in political didactics as well as in questions of professionalization of teachers
- Project organization and planning experience using digital tools
- Very good knowledge of at least one second official language (preferably Italian or French)
- Teamwork skills and communication with various stakeholders, such as teachers, students, project partners
The position is initially offered at 20% and from 01.09.2026 at 40% and is limited until 30.09.2028.
