Who we are:
Roots was founded in 2015 and has developed into a movement that redefines plant-based nutrition. Together with our partner Autogrill by Avolta, we shape the gastronomy at Zurich Airport with our philosophy. At Autogrill by Avolta, you work closely with Roots and embody our vision of healthy, sustainable nutrition at our new locations.
As a production employee in the kitchen, you are a central part of our kitchen team. Your tasks include implementing Roots' gastronomic concept. You contribute to the preparation of the plant-based dishes offered at our airport locations. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and enthusiasm for our plant-based concept.
For our two Roots locations at Zurich Airport, we are looking for you!
Your tasks:
You will play an important role in daily operations. Your tasks are diverse and varied, making you an all-round talent.
- Support in production: Assisting in the preparation and production of our plant-based dishes.
- MEP work (Mise en Place): Independently preparing ingredients for production.
- Managing production processes: Adhering to internal quality and hygiene standards.
- Preparation work: Processing and preparing raw materials.
- Operating kitchen machines: Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Cleanliness and hygiene: Complying with cleaning standards and maintaining the workspace according to internal and external guidelines.
Your profile:
- Initial experience in gastronomy or food production is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Working early mornings is not a problem for you, as production starts at 4:30 AM.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Careful and hygienic work according to internal company regulations.
- Teamwork, motivation, and interest in plant-based nutrition.
- You have German language skills; any additional language is an advantage.
