Job Summary:
The Global Employee Engagement Specialist supports the execution of gategroup’s internal engagement and culture‑building initiatives. In this role, you support the implementation of global concepts through clear, engaging, and locally relevant communication and activities that connect employees across regions and functions.
Reporting to the Head of Group Communications, you coordinate day‑to‑day engagement activities, support HR teams with employee communication needs, and assist in the delivery of programs that foster connection, recognition, and a positive employee experience.
This position requires strong coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement Implementation

Support the rollout of global engagement, culture, and wellbeing initiatives across regions, ensuring consistent application and alignment with gategroup values.

Collaborate with the Talent team to promote GateAcademy learning initiatives through clear and engaging communication.

Provide communication support to HR teams by translating people‑related topics into accessible, employee‑friendly content.

Work with regional HR teams to adapt global engagement activities into culturally relevant formats.
Recognition & Total Rewards Support

Assist Global HR in the coordination and communication of global and regional recognition programs.

Support communication activities related to Total Rewards to help employees understand their benefits.

Coordinate logistical and communication elements of the GateAwards program.
Community Building & Inclusion

Assist in delivering HR campaigns that connect deskless/frontline teams with the global brand.

Support integration of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion messaging into daily internal communications.

Source and prepare authentic employee stories from around the world for internal use.
Employee Listening & Engagement Insights

Coordinate administrative steps in the global employee survey process, including distribution, communication materials, and timeline tracking.

Support the organization of virtual and in‑person listening activities such as Town Halls and Listening Sessions.
Core Competencies and Requirements:
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business, or related fields.
Work Experience
-
3 years’ experience in employee engagement, internal communication, or HR in a global or matrixed organisation.

Proven experience coordinating programs and managing multiple workstreams across stakeholders and regions.

Experience supporting communication activities for People topics is an asset.
Technical / Language Skills
-
Solid fundamentals in Adobe CC, Microsoft tools, survey tools (Glint, Qualtrics), digital content creation tools (Canva, SharePoint), and common SaaS solutions.

Video editing and/or HTML skills are an asset.

Exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to simplify complex information.

Fluent in written and spoken English; mother‑tongue English preferred. Other languages are a plus.
