Emergencies (If control is required within one to two days)
Vista Alpina patients: The Vista Alpina Eye Clinic has reserved several emergency appointments per day. Accordingly, we can guarantee emergency care for our patients during office hours.
New patients: The Vista Alpina Eye Clinic reserves daily emergency slots for referring general practitioners. We try to accept emergencies whenever possible. In case the demand exceeds the available emergency slots, we refer to the on-call emergency ophthalmologist in Valais.
Telephone availability
For all patients: The Vista Alpina Eye Clinic is available for patients from Monday to Friday during regular office hours until 5:30 PM at T. 027 946 70 00 (Visp) and at T. 027 455 34 04 (Siders). In urgent emergencies, we are available on Mondays and Thursdays until 7:30 PM and on Saturdays until 12:00 PM at T. 027 946 70 18 (Visp) and at T. 027 455 34 21 (Siders).
For freshly operated patients
Freshly operated patients receive an information sheet with a mobile number after the operation, through which they can reach the surgeon.
At night and on weekends
During the night (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, you can reach the medical emergency service of the canton of Valais at T. 0900 144 033 (Fr. 0.50 per call and Fr. 2.- per minute, maximum Fr. 30.50). The duty doctor will provide you with medical advice over the phone and organize a consultation with a doctor in the region, if necessary also with a specialist. In Valais, an on-call ophthalmologist is available for urgent emergencies 24/7 throughout the year.
