Strategic Structuring and Product Development
- Support the VP Fleet Management in shaping and implementing the commercial structure of the fleet organization.
- Provide analytical input for planning, cost efficiency, and performance improvement.
- Contribute to the refinement of service concepts and product offerings.
- Driving execution of the developed strategy and tactic within the organization. This includes OKRs.
- Development of tactical goals in alignment with the product strategy and driving the adoption of same to meet targets set by the executive board.
Strategic Commercial Leadership
- Develop and implement commercial performance strategies for all fleet teams.
- Provide commercial guidance to Vessel Managers and Fleet Managers in cost efficiency and value generation.
- Identifying best industry related practices and evaluate them for the purpose of own implementation. Continuously following technological innovations and possible areas of implementation to drive efficiency and service quality.
Governance and Oversight
- Establish and maintain uniform standards for fleet budgeting, reporting, and cost control.
- Lead evaluation of fleet and vessel performance metrics (OPEX, utilization, off-hire, repair costs).
- Oversee commercial risk assessments and ensure compliance with any given agreements.
Budget and Financial Steering
- Supervise the annual budgeting process in coordination with Controlling and Fleet Teams.
- Ensure transparency in cost allocations and investment planning.
- Support management decisions with scenario and sensitivity analyses.
Cross Functional Coordination
- Serve as key interface between Fleet Management, Finance/Controlling, Procurement, and Commercial Operations.
- Align fleet-level commercial actions with overall company strategy.
- Represent Fleet Management in financial and commercial discussions with clients, ship owners and auditors.
Reporting and Decision Support
- Deliver high-level commercial reports and management dashboards by providing data-driven insights and ensuring credibility.
- Advise the Board and the VP Fleet Management on commercial implications of operational and strategic decisions.
- Present fleet performance results to internal stakeholders and, when required, to external partners in review meetings or audits.
Your profile:

MBA or Bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in the maritime industry, including customer-related projects

Solid understanding of Group strategy and strong knowledge of financial practices

Strong customer and market orientation combined with a keen analytical mindset

Persuasive, solution-oriented, driven, and self-reliant, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Structured and analytical thinker, passionate about developing real-life scenarios for decision-making
