About the job
Qualified Social Educator (M/F) - Les Roseaux Group
What if you helped us design a more inclusive society?
Located in the Vevey region, between city and
countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with
disabilities due to intellectual impairment. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers the people it welcomes a particularly harmonious living and
working environment as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It thus considers the happiness of the people it welcomes as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The "Les Roseaux" group
is a living space welcoming five adults (non-verbal) with severe intellectual disabilities and associated disorders. The support favors activities in small groups and individually. The main objectives are anticipation, structuring, and adaptation of the environment.
Extravagance and calm.
Organization and disorder, adaptation and routine.
Anticipation and being surprised.
Knowing how to run and knowing how to settle.
These are the paradoxes that make this group unique.
Supporting a person at Les Roseaux means:
Providing individualized support in daily life activities and various learning processes
Being patient, empathetic, and caring. Humor is also welcome!
Working on the predictability of challenging behaviors and behavioral disorders
Promoting autonomy and self-determination, dignity, and safety of the residents
Animating networks, writing reports
Accepting that a person who does not express themselves nevertheless thinks and acts in their own way
Desired profile
Holding a diploma as an ES or HES educator and experience in the field of intellectual disability (including communication support, management of behavioral disorders)
Being comfortable working and communicating in a team
Having experience in implementing life projects and adapted protocols
Dynamic and creative in all situations
Aware that observation, analysis, and reflection guide our actions
Having good stress resistance
Not afraid to move forward with your mistakes, as bouncing back is part of your qualities
Demonstrating a strong, confident, and calm professional attitude
You master common computer tools, have a driving license, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.
Work environment
We offer you the opportunity to take part in an innovative project and to evolve in a work environment conducive to fulfilling the mission and your professional development. Within the framework of this permanent contract, you will benefit from an interesting and varied internal training program, as well as the social conditions and benefits of the collective labor agreement of the Vaud parapublic social sector, with 8 weeks of vacation, 9 weeks from the age of 50.
Start date: immediately or to be agreed, activity rate between 70% and 100%
Do you want to support and maximize the potential
