The position is attached to the Diagnostic Department . Composed of eight medical services, its mission is to provide diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic acts, and specialized clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the best timeframes and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.
The primary mission of the Laboratory Medicine Service is to handle liquid samples of all kinds such as blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, as well as wound smears and to submit them to numerous and varied analyses offering quality results in the best possible time. The results guide medical decisions and therapeutic choices. They are obtained using the most recent robotic, semi-robotic, or manual technologies and the most efficient methods to date. The service also has research and teaching missions.
Job Description
As part of your activities, you receive biological samples of adult and pediatric cellular hematology and routine hemostasis, and record examination requests according to current procedures.
You use Sysmex XN-9000 cellular hematology analyzers and Sysmex CN-6000 hemostasis analyzers.
You technically and biologically validate routine cellular hematology and hemostasis results.
You perform leukocyte differentials under the microscope for peripheral blood and bone marrow.
You prepare blood and marrow smears.
You perform and read Kleihauer tests.
You perform capillary sampling.
You perform special staining of marrow smears: Myeloperoxidase, Di esterase, Perls stain, and Toluidine blue.
You participate in courses and service meetings.
You perform CRP assays on POCT,
You diagnose malaria: reading blood smears to establish species diagnosis and count parasitemia, and perform rapid tests (plasmodium antigenemia).
You perform weekend, public holiday, and night shifts.
You work with adult patients and pediatric patients (children).
Qualifications
You hold a diploma as a biomedical analysis technician (TAB) or an equivalent recognized qualification.
You can demonstrate very good knowledge in hematology. Professional experience in hematology (cytology, analyzer) and hemostasis (routine) are assets.
You are comfortable with computer tools.
You have good stress resistance, are organized, and know how to manage your priorities.
Your rigor, sense of responsibility, and autonomy allow you to perform assigned tasks optimally and efficiently.
Your interpersonal skills enable you to work easily in a team and integrate well.
