About the job
The servicedesk is the central point of contact for all employees of the cantonal police as well as other organizations (e.g. Protection and Rescue Bern). It supports operational questions and ensures professional incident and problem management. As an important interface between technology, specialist departments, partners, and end users, the servicedesk takes on a responsible and varied role with direct added value for everyday work.
Your tasks
- Telephone advice and support using remote maintenance tools for users in all matters related to IT systems (M365, police-specific applications as well as other software)
- Receiving, analyzing, and processing inquiries, fault and problem reports within the scope of 1st level (PLUS) support including ticket management
- Independent problem solving as well as qualified error analysis and forwarding of complex issues to downstream specialist departments
- Professional support and training of IT apprentices EFZ (specializing in platform development) as a practical trainer
- Participation in projects as well as performing on-call duty
Your profile
- Completed commercial or technical basic training with further education in the IT field (e.g. ICT supporter SIZ)
- Solid knowledge in ITIL, network technologies, and M365 as well as ideally experience in IT support
- Quick comprehension as well as precise, independent, and efficient working style
- Service-oriented, resilient, and team-capable personality with confident demeanor even in hectic situations
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good oral French skills
- Willingness to work outside usual hours (7×24h operation) as well as driving license category B
