The Performance Mandate unit is responsible for the planning, implementation, further development, controlling, and communication of the performance mandate, especially sustainability. We develop sustainability concepts and projects for the bank, are responsible for sustainability reporting, and serve as contact persons for all questions on the topic of sustainability. Our area of responsibility ranges from implementing regulatory Sustainable Finance requirements to implementing sustainability initiatives and developing sustainability criteria for products and services.

Are you an experienced sustainability expert with strong analytical skills and proven professional experience in a Corporate Sustainability department, ideally from a bank, and do you have an integrative, prudent, and careful working style? Then we look forward to your application.

Your tasks

Managing our ZKB sustainability ratings and rankings, conducting GAP analyses, and deriving recommended measures
Designing and implementing the annual focus report on the fulfillment of the performance mandate for the supervisory commission of the cantonal council
Developing sustainability requirements and criteria for sustainable products and services and integrating sustainability into business activities, especially for sustainability integration in procurement and financing business
Developing methodological foundations, concepts, analyses, and benchmarkings for current sustainability issues as well as translating current Sustainable Finance frameworks (UN PRB, UNEP FI Net-Zero Frameworks, ISSB/GRI, SBTi, TCFD, and TNFD) for the further development and implementation of bank-wide guidelines such as the Sustainability Policy, further development of the ZKB Net-Zero transition plan, and creating foundations for the topic of Nature
Project management, participating in projects, and providing consulting for various bank departments to strengthen sustainability integration into the core business

Your profile

Master's degree in Sustainable Finance, Economics, or Natural Sciences
At least 5 years of professional experience in a Group Sustainability department or at the interface of sustainability and banking/financial sector and/or several years of banking experience, especially in Sustainable Finance financing business
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and pronounced service orientation
Profound knowledge of Sustainable Finance and sustainability, you know the relevant frameworks (e.g., UN PRB, NZBA, SBTi, TCFD/TNFD, ISSB/GRI) and have experience translating these frameworks into banking
Ability to communicate appropriately for the audience and level, both written and oral (in German)
You are resilient, flexible, and a pronounced team player
