Specialist in Animal Husbandry - Focus on Ammonia Action Plan

To implement the cantonal action plan to reduce ammonia emissions, we are looking for a committed personality at the Lindau location from February 1, 2026, or by arrangement.

Our requirements

• Consulting animal husbandry operations – with a focus on analyses and optimizations to reduce ammonia emissions (structural, feeding technology, management-related)
• Technical advice on production-related issues (focus on cattle; ideally supplemented by pig or horse)
• Active networking of theory and practice: organizing specialist events, occasional participation in teaching, coaching student work, and involvement in practice-oriented trials

Our requirements

• Training at the level of master farmer, HF Agrotechnology or BSc / Master in Agronomy or related courses of study
• Solid knowledge and practical experience in agriculture; experience in crop production and environment is an advantage – or motivation to specifically develop this through further training
• Strong social, methodological, and self-competence as well as enjoyment in exchanging with agricultural businesses
• Enthusiasm for the training and further education of farmers

What to expect

If suitable and interested, there is the possibility to teach in basic education and/or higher vocational education.
