With around 9,000 inhabitants, Aarburg is in the midst of an exciting development phase that will lead to a strong identity, economic success, and an attractive place to live. Due to the retirement of the previous position holder, we are looking for a Swimming Pool Manager with an 80% workload starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement. The Infrastructure Security Department IS is responsible for public properties (built and undeveloped land of the city), the cemetery system, the swimming pool, parks and green spaces as well as playgrounds, water, road and sewer maintenance, waste disposal, and general security. Your main tasks
  • Personnel, professional, and organizational management of the swimming pool operation
  • Ensuring an orderly, safe, and customer-friendly bathing operation
  • Together with your team, you are responsible for water supervision, hygiene (water quality and
guest area), monitoring and organizing operations, as well as the appearance of the entire facility
  • Overall responsibility for flawless supervision service as well as efficient and professional alarm and emergency organization
  • Responsibility for the maintenance and servicing of the entire bathing facility including
bathing water technology with all associated equipment throughout the year
  • Assistance with maintenance, cleaning, and gardening tasks
  • Winterizing the pool in autumn and commissioning in spring
  • Responsibility for personnel deployment planning and other administrative tasks
  • Further development of operations and planning and organizing suitable events Your strengths
  • Completed technical or manual basic training
  • Leadership experience and experience in managing a leisure facility is an advantage
  • Pro Pool SLRG or igba brevet (or willingness to obtain before the season starts)
  • Professional authorization for bathing water disinfection (or willingness to obtain before the season starts)
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • Enjoyment of teamwork and dealing with bathers
