Nursing Expert as Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Geriatrics (a)

What the professional everyday life looks like

• You are jointly responsible for ensuring the best possible care of patients in geriatrics and rehabilitation at KSBL and serve as a role model in nursing practice
• You advise, accompany and support patients and their relatives
• You conduct nursing assessments and provide recommendations to the interprofessional team
• You support the nursing teams in complex patient situations and with professional questions and conduct case discussions and short training sessions
• You are part of the nursing research and clinical practice team and support it with your expertise and know-how, and are responsible within the framework of the shared governance approach for topics around practice development, ensuring nursing and care quality, as well as the implementation of standards
• You independently conduct nursing rounds on the Nurse-Led-Care (NLC) ward at KSBL

Competences and potential

• You have several years of professional experience
• You hold a master’s degree in nursing sciences or are currently studying for one
• You are willing to link your theoretical knowledge with practice
• You are an enthusiastic, resilient and communicative personality
• You have excellent team player qualities and enjoy empowering staff and inspiring evidence-based action and thinking
• Changes in everyday life are a motivation for you due to your mental flexibility and spur you on to top performance
