The Bern Institute of General Practice (BIHAM) is committed to the education and training of the next generation of general practitioners. It conducts and promotes research and teaching in the fields of primary care, epidemiology, and public health. BIHAM offers work in a lively and interdisciplinary environment with excellent methodological support and access to a broad network of practicing general practitioners.
We are looking for an employee for the Coordination Office for Nachwuchsförderung General Practice at the Bern Institute of General Practice. Ideally, you are a physician working in outpatient primary care or have experience in this field. You are interested in supporting the next generation in primary care. You have excellent communication skills in spoken and written form. You enjoy contact with various stakeholders. Then we are looking for you.
Taskso Mentoring discussions with assistant doctors
o Correspondence with hospitals and development of new rotation positions
- Lead and organize team meetings
- Participate actively in congresses if applicable to represent BIHAM, e.g., co-design of the program committee as BIHAM representative
- Participation and preparation of meetings with the canton regarding medical training
- Participation in the presidium of the supervisory commission for practice assistants
- Preparation of the long-term evaluation of the practice assistant program
Requirements
- FMH specialist title in General Internal Medicine or Pediatrics (or close to completion)
- Practical experience in outpatient primary care
- Excellent communication skills in German, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of French and English is an advantage
- Experience in personnel management is an advantage
- Interest in research and teaching is an advantage
