Attached to the HUG Psychiatry Department, the Institutional Measures Service is responsible for the treatment of patients under judicial mandate. Composed of several care units integrating treatment in a closed environment (Curabilis), open environment treatment (Iris and Onyx units at the Belle-idée site), and outpatient treatment (art. 59-64 Swiss Penal Code), its crisis and specific psychiatric rehabilitation care offer is provided in compliance with medical law and professional ethical rules.
Job Description
As a clinic head, with or without a specialty title, you ensure the psychiatric follow-up of patients/detainees within the service (closed or open environment).
You work in a demanding clinical setting, at the intersection of care, justice, and security issues, in close collaboration with experienced multidisciplinary teams.
Your approach is based on an individualized therapeutic method aimed at stabilizing mental disorders, re-educating symptoms, and preventing relapse. You contribute to comprehensive care that respects the dignity of individuals and the ethical principles specific to psychiatry in a coercive context. In this role, you work in a coordinated manner with professionals with complementary skills, such as nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and psychomotor therapists.
Alongside your activity, you have the opportunity to complete, if not already done, your integrated postgraduate training contributing to obtaining the specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
If you already have your specialization title, you possess the cantonal practice license or are able to obtain it before starting the position.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
Experience in the field of deprived liberty persons is an asset, and you already have some experience in psychiatry.
As part of your employment, a police check will be conducted for your assignment in a closed environment.
