Nurse in the Addiction Medicine Service - Hospital Unit
The Addiction Medicine Service of the DP-CHUV is looking for a nurse for its Hospital Unit at an 80% rate for a start date on June 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Addiction Medicine Service (SMA) provides inpatient and outpatient care for adults in the Lausanne region presenting psychiatric and addiction disorders. It also develops research and training activities. It includes Hospital Units on the Cery site (Prilly) and on the Bugnon hospital campus in Lausanne.
Complex, addiction is a disease involving biological, psychological, and social factors. Effective treatment takes all these factors into account and requires medical care, psychotherapy, and a rehabilitation program. The Center therefore works closely with private doctors and institutions in the canton of Vaud.
The SMA offers medical, social, and psychiatric evaluation, investigating disorders or diseases that may be associated. Patient care is individualized and complemented by group and community activities.
Mission
- You provide primary care to patients suffering from addiction and/or presenting psychiatric disorders
- You provide preventive, curative, palliative, promotional, and educational nursing care to the patients under your responsibility
- You participate in integrating the patients' relatives into the care provided
- You establish collaboration modalities with other actors in the Vaud socio-health network
- You participate in the implementation of clinical care protocols.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent title, as well as recognition from the Red Cross or a positive Precheck for staff qualified abroad, mandatory)
- You have 2 years of professional experience in a psychiatric setting
- You have good knowledge of the Vaud socio-health network.
