Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in an international mining & mineral trading company. The ideal candidate will assist in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and compliance with industry regulations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the mineral trading & mining sector while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recording financial transactions, posting journal entries, and updating ledgers.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-specific financial policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mining, trading or related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional working proficiency in English and German, Turkish is a plus.
