Social educator (M/F) graduated - group Les Roseaux
What if you helped us design a more inclusive society?
Located in the Vevey region, between city and
countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with
disabilities due to an intellectual deficiency. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers the people welcomed a living and
working environment that is particularly harmonious as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. She considers the happiness of the welcomed individuals as the ultimate goal of her action.
Mission
The group "Les Roseaux"
is a living space welcoming four adults (non-verbal) presenting a severe intellectual deficiency and associated disorders, three of whom have significant ASD. The support prioritizes activities in small groups and individually. The main objectives are anticipation, structuring, and arranging the environment.
The extravagance and the calm.
The organization and the disorder, the adaptation and the routine.
The anticipation and being surprised.
Knowing how to run and knowing how to settle down.
These are the paradoxes that characterize this group.
Accompanying a person at Les Roseaux means:
Providing individualized support in daily life activities and various learning
Being patient, empathetic, and kind. Humor is also welcome!
Working on the predictability of challenging behaviors and behavioral disorders
Promoting autonomy and self-determination, dignity, and safety of residents
Facilitating networks, writing reports
Accepting that a person who does not express themselves thinks and acts in their own way
Desired profile
Having a diploma as a social educator ES or HES and experience in the field of intellectual deficiency (including support for communication, ASD, and management of behavioral disorders)
Being comfortable in work and team communication
Having experience in implementing life projects and adapted protocols
Dynamic and possessing a creative spirit in all situations
Being aware that observation, analysis, and reflection are the guiding words of our action
Having good stress resistance
Not being afraid to move forward with your mistakes, as bouncing back is part of your qualities
Demonstrating a beautiful professional posture, assertive and calm
You master common IT tools, have a driver's license, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.

We offer you the opportunity to participate in an innovative project and to evolve in a work environment conducive to the realization of the mission and your professional development.
