Team Leader 90%The State Archive of the Canton of Zurich, with its archival holdings spanning 1150 years, is the central archive of the Canton of Zurich and its historical legal predecessors. It preserves original documents of the Cantonal Council, the government, the cantonal central and district administrations, as well as the cantonal courts, notaries, and independent public-law institutions, and makes them accessible to the public.
The Processing Department is looking for a team leader 90% for Team 2 starting January 1, 2027.
Your tasks
- Professional and personnel management of a team currently consisting of nine employees
- Planning and management of processing projects
- Processing of demanding analog and digital holdings
- Quality assurance of processed holdings
- Participation in the optimization of processing procedures as well as in the further development of processing standards according to modern archival science and business management principles
Requirements
- Completed studies in history as well as training in archival and information science and/or several years of professional experience
- Experience in leading employees with different educational profiles
- Very good written and oral communication skills, quick comprehension, solution-oriented and resilient
- Open-minded and proactive, independent and efficient working style, enjoyment of teamwork
- Knowledge of public administration and Zurich's regional history is an advantage
