Head of Finance/Services Department (m/f/d) 80 - 100%

This is what you will do

• As a member of the management team, you are responsible for all financial business of the St.Gallen municipal utilities and ensure the financial, personnel, and infrastructural foundations for the sustainable success of our organization.
• You take overall responsibility for the Finance and Services area (Finance and Accounting, Controlling, Materials Management and Strategic Purchasing, Facility Management and Human Resources) with around 35 employees and actively participate in the strategy process as well as in the implementation of management decisions.
• For the RWSG Regional Water Supply St. Gallen as well as the energy network GSG AG, you also ensure all financial business.
• You promote a trusting and sustainable, modern corporate culture both within the team and within the management team.
• The continuous development of structures and processes including digitalization rounds off your area of responsibility.

This is what you bring with you

• A completed business degree (university/FH) with a focus on finance or controlling forms the basis to competently carry out the function.
• Solid experience in a medium-sized environment as well as practical experience in consolidation, reporting, process design, and interfaces to ERP/IT strengthen your effectiveness in everyday work.
• A cooperative leadership style, high goal orientation, and strong integration skills help you effectively lead a team and maintain focus even in dynamic phases.
• Through your communicative personality and your strategic skills, you are able to establish your area both in content and culture as a service-oriented unit.
• You are characterized by personal leadership, can inspire people, work participatively, and understand your leadership role primarily as an empowering coach and mentor.
