Catering employees in the Hospitality Service
The Hospitality Service is looking for two catering employees at a 50% activity rate (permanent contract), for its cafeterias and snack team, starting January 1, 2026, or as agreed. One of the positions is attached to the sales points of the Farm, the LAB, and the children's hospital, and the other position to the cafeteria of the main building of the CHUV.

Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals and one of the best in the world according to the 2025 ranking by Newsweek magazine. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading and European-scale role in medical care, medical research, and training.
The catering sector, cafeterias, kiosks, and snack bars are attached to the Hospitality Service of the Hospital Logistics Department. It is responsible for the sale of fast food items in self-service at the various sales points of the hospital city and external sites. The service offers staff and visitors catering that corresponds to the institution's orientation as well as the market offer.
Mission
- You ensure the setup and service of dishes (self-service, chain, or table service)
- You guarantee the proper sale and supply of buffets (salads, desserts, sandwiches, drinks, ice cream)
- You participate in the setup and service for events
- You handle the payment of consumptions
- You maintain the premises and equipment in compliance with institutional hygiene rules
- You adopt a positive and constructive attitude so that the customer always feels welcome and well served
- You may be required to perform replacements at different sites.
Profile
- You have at least 2 years of experience in the hotel or catering sector in general
- You are able to work in a hospital environment and respect institutional hygiene standards
- You master the French language both orally and in writing - B2 level required
- You are required to work variable hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- You are attentive to the quality of your work, punctual, autonomous, and have a good team spirit.
