To complete our team at the Cardiocentro Ticino Institute in Lugano, we are looking for a

Local Finance and Controlling Manager (m/f) (100%)

Purpose of the role and responsibilities:

Ensure the planning and efficient use of resources in line with the objectives of the Cantonal Hospital Entity (EOC) and the Cardiocentro Ticino Institute (ICCT).

The Finance and Controlling Manager, a member of the local management, ensures the economic-financial sustainability of the Institute through planning, controlling and monitoring resources, economic-financial reporting, and supporting management in strategic planning processes, respecting EOC directives and the applicable regulatory framework.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting at the local level
• Coordinate and develop economic and analytical controlling processes
• Ensure clear, reliable, and decision-support oriented periodic reporting
• Monitor costs, revenues, investments, and performance indicators
• Collaborate with management and service managers to improve economic efficiency
• Coordinate and develop the Finance and Controlling team
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, financial, and public law regulations
• Provide hospital executives with the necessary and correct training and information regarding analytical accounting and related monitoring tools.

Required profile:

• Higher education in Business Economics or Diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting or Expert in finance and controlling or equivalent qualifications
• Several years of experience in similar roles, preferably in hospitals or complex organizations
• Strong skills in analytical accounting, management control, and reporting
• Ability to strategically interpret economic-financial data
• Experience in managing and developing teams
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Attitude for interdisciplinary collaboration and working in complex institutional contexts
• Proficiency in main IT systems and programs
• Excellent spoken and written Italian; good knowledge of a second national language, knowledge of English is a plus.
