The Diagnostic Department , composed of eight medical services, is tasked with providing diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialized clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.
The Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Service has the primary mission of providing clinical diagnostic services using molecular imaging technologies, particularly those using radioactive sources administrable to patients. In addition to the services provided by other HUG departments, it uses radioisotopes for therapeutic purposes and for certain laboratory tests. It offers scintigraphy, single-photon emission tomography (SPECT), or positron emission tomography (PET or "PET scan") examinations.
The cyclotron unit of the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging service aims to produce PET radiopharmaceuticals, sterile injectable solutions of high quality for internal use and for sale.
Job Description
The cyclotron unit is looking for a production manager to ensure the manufacture of radiopharmaceutical drugs for human use in compliance with "Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)" and radiation protection standards.
As part of your duties, you manufacture radiopharmaceuticals and are responsible for the proper functioning and monitoring of the infrastructure and all equipment involved in the production of radiopharmaceuticals. You organize and participate in initial and periodic validations and qualifications.
You supervise production operators and ensure the initial and ongoing training of production staff and anyone who must work in the clean production rooms.
You write and keep up to date written procedures concerning production activities and actively collaborate with quality assurance and quality control staff, particularly during inspections and the follow-up of CAPA as well as the drafting of change controls, deviations, and annual reports.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s or PhD degree in chemistry or a federal diploma in pharmacy with a specialization in radiopharmacy, or equivalent.
You can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in aseptic work subject to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Practical experience in radiopharmacy is desirable. Additionally, you have leadership qualities enabling you to supervise production operators in the unit (between 3 and 5 people).
With excellent communication skills, you are accustomed to working within a multidisciplinary team, are flexible and meticulous. You also have excellent abilities to manage unforeseen events and stress. Your autonomy, rigor, behavior, and sense of responsibility make you a valued professional.
Finally, you have a good command of office software (MS Office) and master the French language, both spoken and written, and are able to communicate in English.
Additional Information
This position requires handling unsealed radioactive sources according to radiation protection standards, as well as daily handling of weights of 15kg and irregular hours (day/night shifts).
