The position is attached to the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents , which is tasked with providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and addressing the health issues faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 16. It works on developing cutting-edge services and specialty competence centers.
The general pediatrics service handles the health issues of newborns, children, and adolescents until the end of their growth and contributes to health maintenance. It also ensures the coordination and postgraduate training of pediatricians.
The pediatric immunology, vaccinology, and rheumatology unit, attached to the general pediatrics service, cares for children and adolescents with complex autoimmune, autoinflammatory, and rheumatologic diseases, in close collaboration with other pediatric specialties as well as adult medicine services. The university environment combines high-level clinical care, research, and teaching. The unit maintains active collaborations with other Swiss and international hospitals, promoting expertise sharing and the development of research projects at national and international levels.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the unit's managers, you will join the medical team dedicated to the pediatric immunology, vaccinology, and rheumatology unit, which includes two attending physicians, two clinic chiefs, one intern, one nurse, and one secretary.
Your organizational skills and ability to work efficiently allow you to ensure the application of internal rules and procedures while guaranteeing the quality of medical services provided, both clinically, administratively, and organizationally.
You coordinate practical activities as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the patients entrusted to you in close collaboration with the clinic chiefs and attending physicians.
Working in a stimulating university environment within a multidisciplinary team, teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration enable you to contribute to the training of trainee doctors.
Relying on your empathy and excellent communication skills, you participate in the development of comprehensive and interdisciplinary patient care.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or an equivalent title recognized by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO).
Possessing excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary team and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible, and committed person. Additionally, you have demonstrated strong adaptability skills.
Excellent spoken and written French is required. For non-French speakers, a C1 level certificate is mandatory.
