Glass Structural Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Challenge

• Definition of the mechanical resistance values of our standard PV systems using FEM calculations as well as tests on our own test bench
• Support of internal sales and sales in the design and dimensioning of glass structures (VSG, ESG, TVG) for facade, roof, and overhead glazing in commercial projects
• Execution of static verifications according to SIA and Eurocode standards including the preparation of technical reports
• Assessment of wind loads, snow loads, and thermal effects on glass elements
• Ensuring the compliance of our products and systems with standards
• Close cooperation with glass manufacturers, facade planners, general contractors/subcontractors, and software partners
• Participation in the further development of our BIPV systems and technical solutions

Your Profile

• Completed studies in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable (FH, ETH/TU), ideally with further training in glass construction, facade technology, or BIPV
• Several years of experience in the design of structural glass construction
• Advantageous: practical experience from a technical basic training (e.g., draftsman, designer, mechanic)
• Solid knowledge in 3D CAD (especially SolidWorks)
• Experience in FEM analyses and strength calculations
• Confident German and good English skills
• Structured, independent working style as well as high personal responsibility
• Communicative, committed, and solution-oriented personality
