The School of Design Zurich, with around 1300 students in basic education, 48 students in the preparatory design course, 1000 participants in advanced vocational training courses as well as in career-oriented continuing education, about 150 teachers and 31 staff members, is one of the most interesting vocational schools in the canton: the competence center for design, communication, media production, painting and varnishing.

Your tasks
In this varied role, you take on central tasks in the areas of space planning, communication and administration. You are the contact person for room reservations and coordinate infrastructure concerns in cooperation with internal departments such as IT, building services or internal working groups. Parking management and the management of office supplies and furniture also belong to your area of responsibility. In the field of communication, you maintain and update the website as well as the intranet, manage our social media channels and regularly send out the internal newsletter. In addition, you provide support for exhibitions and public events. In basic and continuing education, you organizationally support remedial teaching offers, take care of lecturers, assist with the creation of ID cards for new students and answer initial inquiries on the continuing education platforms. You contribute to project work, especially in the digitization of processes, the implementation of safety measures and in larger logistical projects. Administrative tasks, telephone service and occasional counter presence complete your exciting job profile. You are an important link in everyday school life and contribute significantly to smooth operations with your careful and service-oriented way of working.
Your profile
- Commercial basic training EFZ and several years of professional experience, ideally in the public or school environment
- Further training in marketing is an advantage
- Enjoyment in writing and designing reports as well as the ability to prepare content understandably for a broad target group
- Experience in creating needs-based social media content and very good platform knowledge in Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Very confident handling of MS Office
- Excellent oral and written German skills
- Precise, independent, careful and reliable way of working
- Strong organizational skills
