The government of the canton of Graubünden is looking for a Member of the Board of Directors of Graubünden Cantonal Bank as of April 1, 2026.
Your area of responsibility
As a member of the seven-member board of directors, the highest body of GKB, you are responsible for the strategic management of the bank. You will particularly take on the following tasks:
- Determining the principles of the business strategy and the framework for business activities;
- Approval of the risk policy as well as monitoring of risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Election and supervision of the management as well as the head of internal audit and the Chief Risk Officer;
- Responsibility for salary and personnel policy;
- Control and approval of annual accounts, budget, and profit distribution;
- Further tasks according to federal law and the law on GKB.
Your profile
You have solid expertise and experience in the banking and finance sector, ideally in the areas of financial market law, banking supervision, regulatory environment, compliance, and corporate governance. In addition, you bring a broad legal experience, solid banking knowledge, and ideally proven experience in the strategic management of listed companies.
The following qualities complete your profile:
- Analytical skills and entrepreneurial thinking;
- Team ability and enjoyment of a trusting collaboration in the committee;
- Identification with the corporate culture, owner goals, and strategic goals of GKB;
- Good knowledge of the political, economic, and social conditions in the canton of Graubünden is an advantage;
- Sufficient availability in terms of time.
