To strengthen our team, we are looking for an

Intern in Information Science (m/f/d)

starting 1 February 2027 or by arrangement

• You will be deployed in the public and magazine service
• You will assist with media processing
• You will help with projects in collection management
• You will gain insights into the special departments of the Vadiana Cantonal Library
• Internship duration: at least 6 months, extension possible until July 2028

• Completed Matura, specialised or vocational Matura, or an equivalent qualification
• Good IT user skills and interest in new web technologies
• Focused, persistent and precise work as well as very good oral and written German skills
• You have a strong service orientation and enjoy customer contact, are a team player and communicate well
• You intend to begin a degree in Information Science or are already studying it and are completing the internship alongside your studies

• Flexible arrangement of the internship duration according to your educational path
• Training in acquisition, media processing, research and consulting
• Practical work in different areas of a library
• Varied assignments at two locations
• Independent work in a pleasant working atmosphere
