Your mission

Platform Engineering

You will be part of a highly motivated cloud team and work on exciting projects at the intersection of cloud, automation, and artificial intelligence:

• Design and implementation of scalable container platforms with Red Hat OpenShift, Nutanix Kubernetes Platform as well as hyperscaler solutions in private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
• Building internal developer platforms (IDPs) that provide developer teams with self-service access to infrastructure and massively increase their productivity
• Building AI platforms based on Kubernetes for the development and hosting of AI language models and ML applications.
• Architecture and design of cloud-native solutions considering scalability, high availability, and security best practices
• Container orchestration and management of complex Kubernetes clusters in enterprise environments
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automation and standardization

Automation & DevOps

• Development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines with OpenShift Pipelines, AWS CodePipelines, Jenkins as well as GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Implementation of monitoring & observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and OpenShift-native tools
• Automation of deployments, configuration management, and platform operations
• Container security: integration of security best practices throughout the platform (security by design)

Customer projects & innovation

• Technical consulting and support for customers in cloud transformation and in the design and construction of a cloud native platform
• Planning and coordination of complex private cloud and platform engineering projects
• Close collaboration with technology partners (Red Hat, Nutanix, Hashicorp, etc.) to develop innovative solution offerings
• Support throughout the entire lifecycle – from conception through implementation to operation
• Sales engineering: technical support in the sales process and during proof-of-concepts
• Co-shaping our cloud product portfolio through active participation in innovation projects

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of platform engineering concepts and the development of internal developer platforms
• Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift (RCOA), Nutanix Certified Professional - Cloud Native (NCP-CN), or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE)
• Experience with planning and implementing AI platforms as well as their development tools
• Knowledge in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI)
• Programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
• Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Zabbix)
• Understanding of GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD or Flux
• Knowledge in service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, etc.)
• Experience with Kubernetes CNI solutions (Cilium, Calico, OVN, etc.)
