Test Data Engineer 80–100% (m/f/d)

As a Test Data Engineer (m/f/d), you are responsible for the design, generation, and management of reliable test data sets for various testing phases (Functional, Integration, End-to-End, Regression). With your technical know-how, structured working style, and understanding of data protection, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our systems can be tested under realistic conditions.

What you will achieve

In this key role, you ensure the availability of high-quality and compliance-conforming test data. Your tasks at a glance:

Development and implementation of efficient test data strategies for agile testing phases

Identification of test data requirements and analysis of productive data sources

Creation of synthetic data sets including data profiling, mapping, and ETL processes

Maintenance and on-demand provision of test data for UI, API, batch, and data integration tests

Ensuring test data integrity and compliance with data protection requirements (e.g., anonymization, masking)

Automation of test data provision with tools/scripts (e.g., Python, Robot Framework, SQL)

Supporting agile development teams in the efficient use of test data in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Artifactory)

Documentation, monitoring, and reporting on test data status and usage

Why you will succeed

For this versatile role, you bring a high level of analytical thinking, technical expertise, and communication skills:

Completed studies in computer science, business informatics (university, FH, HF), or comparable training

Several years of experience in test data management within agile IT projects

Experience working with test data tools & frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Python, data masking solutions)

Safe handling of data protection and compliance requirements for test data

Knowledge of QA methods; ISTQB-TDS certification is an advantage

Experience with CI/CD environments, scripting languages, and version control

Very good German and good English skills, any additional language is a plus
