About the job
ewz has been dynamic and visionary every day for over 130 years. Whether sustainable energy production, smart energy solutions, or innovative networking technology: Develop with us today what will be important tomorrow.
This is where you put your energy
- You are responsible for the holistic development and standardisation of control and secondary technology across all our power plant groups (Mittelbünden, Bergell and Limmat).
- Together with the local teams, which are directly led by the local operations managers, you ensure a highly available, economical and cyber-secure (OT-Security) control technology infrastructure according to current standards for critical infrastructures.
- As the highest technical authority for control and secondary technology questions within ewz Hydro, you act as a hub and set technological guidelines.
- You are part of the Hydro management team and actively participate as SPOC Hydropower in the further development of technical products, platforms and requirements within ewz.
- You independently manage complex, conceptual projects in the field of control and secondary technology and support the regional teams in the technical implementation on site.
This is what you bring with you
- You have a solid technical education (HF/FH/ETH) in the field of system technology, process control technology, electrical engineering, computer science or a related discipline as well as several years of experience in project management of complex control and secondary technology projects in the hydropower environment.
- With your view of the overall system, you develop complex technological roadmaps and translate them into pragmatic, operationally viable maintenance and renewal concepts.
- You possess a high degree of assertiveness combined with diplomatic skill. You effortlessly manage to build bridges between classical power plant technology on site and the modern IT world.
- The role involves regular travel between Zurich-Oerlikon, Sils im Domleschg and the locations of the power plant group on the Limmat.
