About the job
The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. To strengthen our Facility Management, we are looking for a responsible and committed individual as:
Building Management Specialist / Janitor 80%
Tasks
- Responsibility for maintenance management with a focus on infrastructure and locksmith work (doors, gates, windows, speed gates, furniture, etc.)
- Performing maintenance and repair work as well as troubleshooting according to intervals/reports
- Supervision and monitoring of external service providers as well as coordination of service deployments
- Care of outdoor facilities including winter service and use of maintenance machines (e.g., forklifts, municipal vehicles, cleaning machines)
- Support in the maintenance and servicing of building technical systems as well as in integral tests (e.g., fire protection doors)
- Participation in secondary disposal as well as documentation and filing of maintenance work according to regulations and standards
- Service-oriented support at conferences and events (provision, setup, accompaniment)
- Organization of the workshop and material warehouse
Profile
- Completed technical or manual training (EFZ)
- Several years of professional experience (at least 3 years), including at least 2 years in the specialty area of locksmith work or maintenance
- Manual dexterity, physical resilience, and enjoyment of practical work
- Independent, reliable, and committed personality with willingness to learn and ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented demeanor
- Willingness for on-call duty
- Driver's license category B
