The Swiss Air-Rescue Service Rega provides professional medical assistance from the air to patients in Switzerland and worldwide around the clock. It is a non-profit private foundation supported by more than 3.6 million donors. The Spitäler fmi AG, with over 1,600 employees, includes the two hospitals Interlaken and Frutigen, the health center in Meiringen, the senior centers in Frutigen and Interlaken, the walk-in clinic, and various practices. To complement the anesthesia team of the Spitäler fmi AG and the Rega crew at the helicopter operational base in Wilderswil (BE), we are looking for an emergency physician SGNOR starting July 1, 2026, and April 1, 2027 (workload of 50% each, total 100%) for a fixed term of two years. A prior position as a senior physician in the Spitäler fmi AG (with a higher workload than 50%) is possible.

Situation-appropriate medical care of patients at the accident site in collaboration with the rescue paramedic
Care of patients during primary and secondary missions as well as the necessary preparations for the missions
Assistance in the preparation or restoration of rescue materials
Senior physician activity in a modern regional hospital as part of a dynamic anesthesia team with a varied activity at different locations

What distinguishes you

Swiss state examination or equivalent recognized diploma
Specialist title in Anesthesiology FMH
Certificate in preclinical emergency medicine / emergency physician (SGNOR / SSMUS)
Completed mountain medicine courses (SGGM / SSMM)
Passed PHTLS course
Completed course in preclinical emergency sonography (SGNOR) or comparable recognized course
Physical and mental resilience for air rescue missions
