Your tasks:
The physics laboratory of the HTU includes over 300 experiments that are used in almost all theoretical and experimental courses of our degree programs. These experiments form the core of the practical teaching of physical concepts and enable students to experience and understand phenomena realistically. The topics range from mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, and thermodynamics to photonics, electronics, semiconductor technologies, and photovoltaics.
To ensure that these diverse experiments can be operated reliably, further developed, and installed daily in different lecture halls, we are looking for a dedicated technical specialist with a focus on mechanics to strengthen our team.
Your tasks:
- Preparation, setup, and supervision of experiments for lectures
- Support in the development and optimization of new experimental setups
- Maintenance and repair of existing experiments and test facilities
- Management, care, and further development of the laboratory infrastructure
- Participation in the improvement and compliance with safety standards in the physics laboratory
Your profile:
- Completed vocational training in the field of mechanics (e.g., polymechanic, precision mechanic, physics laboratory technician)
- Experience in the design and manufacture of mechanical prototypes
- Knowledge in repair and maintenance of mechanical devices
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is an advantage
- Independent, reliable, and team-oriented working style
