The Communication department is looking for a personality as of January 1, 2026 for the position of Intern Social Media & Online Communication (80-100%) – limited to 9 to 12 months
Workplace: Bern / Wabern near Bern
As a member of the Communication department, you will work on the overall social media and online communication presence of the Swiss Red Cross.
What you can achieve
- Support in the Social Media team: assist in the conception, planning, and implementation of content (texts, photos, videos, and graphics) for our social media channels, participate in community management, and monitor current trends and relevant performance indicators
- Assist in managing the website redcross.ch: ensure planning overview, manage support channel for stakeholders, conceive, create, capture, and publish content, support quality assurance
- Support analysis and evaluation of online communication
- Participate in online and other communication projects
What you bring
- Advanced training or a completed degree in media, communication, multimedia, social sciences, or politics
- Initial professional experience in journalism, editing, social media, video production, or similar
- Affinity for websites and initial experience with corresponding content management systems
- Strong interest in the topics of a humanitarian organization, possibly experience with an NGO
- Flair for creative work and interest in implementing your own ideas
- Resilient, team-oriented person with good communication skills and enjoyment in contact with people
- Confident German language skills with good editorial abilities (C2). French and English skills (B2) complete your profile.
