Senior Controller (m/f/d) Group Controlling

We are an internationally active, medium-sized family-owned corporate group with over 500 million EUR in annual sales and 27 companies – 19 of which are abroad – in three divisions. SAP is the basis for the finance department.

Our controlling is currently heavily Excel-based, with heterogeneous processes and structures. As a Senior Controller (m/f/d), you will take on central tasks in Group Controlling and work closely with the Head of Group Controlling. You will significantly contribute to the further development and process orientation based on SAP and actively shape our transformation towards a harmonized, system-supported, and future-proof controlling.

These are your tasks:

• Investment controlling for all companies in the group
• Consolidation of monthly reports (currently primarily in Excel) including coordination with divisions and companies
• Preparation of projections, forecasts, and variance analyses at the group level
• Consolidation of planning data and active participation in the planning process
• Preparation and analysis of group key figures for management and decision support
• Preparation of advisory board and management presentations
• Co-responsibility for parts of the annual financial statements (revenues, provisions, impairment test, energy costs) including coordination with auditors
• Support in the standardization and harmonization of financial processes, reporting structures, and financial statements (HGB/IFRS)
• Participation in the introduction of a group-wide integrated risk management system
• Close cooperation with the managements of divisions and companies as well as adjacent areas (e.g., accounting)
• Active participation in change: reduction of manual activities, increased use of SAP S/4HANA and digital controlling tools

What you bring:

• Successfully completed degree in economics, ideally with a focus on controlling, finance, or accounting
• Several years of experience in corporate or investment controlling, preferably in a manufacturing company
• Comprehensive knowledge in controlling, finance and accounting, as well as risk management
• Very good SAP S/4HANA skills, ideally also experience with SAP R/3
• Confident handling of Excel and MS Office, strong affinity for digital finance and controlling tools
• Experience in consolidation and dealing with complex corporate structures
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a strong affinity for numbers
• Strong communication skills, professional appearance, and the ability to explain complex issues clearly
• High initiative, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm for change and process optimization
• Fluent German and English skills
