Located in the Vevey region, between town and
countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to
intellectual disabilities. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers the people it welcomes a particularly harmonious living and
working environment as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It thus considers the happiness of the people it welcomes as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The "Fornerod" group welcomes 10 people in pre-retirement and retirement. The people welcomed benefit from socio-educational support adapted to their lifestyle and according to their needs. The main focus of the development of support is related to people with specific needs linked to age. It offers residents an adaptation of their external activity schedules, while having the possibility to welcome them during the day in their living group in order to respect their rhythm, while offering them activities adapted to their needs. To complete the educational team, we are looking for a social educator (M/F).
Desired profile
Hold a diploma as ES or HE educator, or a CFC as socio-educational assistant or ASSC
Be comfortable with care
Know how to take initiatives
Have team spirit and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
With good observational skills, you have a sense of empathy and are comfortable in contact
You master common computer tools, have a driving license and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.
Work environment
